Peter Pilotto SS 2013

Some of my favourite pieces of the show, close up. All images from Vogue.com.
I went back to Peter Pilotto for the weekend run-up to their show on Monday 17th September, having previously interned there between July and August.
It was a really interesting experience, i got barely any sleep but i learnt a lot about myself.
Their latest collection shows why i was drawn to them in the first place, i saw this collection at its beginning and their eye for a combination of lavish prints and shapes that work together is impecable.
I find it hard to describe their style because there is so much going on, so many references and cultural mixing.
There are few labels that focus all on the print, and allow the silhouette to follow and flatter it, Peter and Christopher give us loud and bold prints which are still luxurious and wearable.
Its also a great feeling to go back to a small growing company and see how things have come together, it made me proud to have been part of the hidden work force behind this collection, i really do wish the best for Peter and Christopher in the future.
